I want to build an enclosure so I can have the printer running on my workbench and not be breathing fumes and nanoparticles. It doesn't seem that hard -- some plexiglass, a few printed brackets, doors for access to the bed and SD port, holes for cables.

But for those of you whole have built them, how big a deal is cooling? If I encase the whole printer in a (fairly) air tight box, will the interior heat up enough to have an effect on the print quality? If so, how do you deal with ventilation?

    Thanks!

@Mike Kelly can help you out. He designed the one that @Printed Solid is selling.

You are going to need to keep the bottom of the printer ventilated--period.
The RAMPS will overheat if you do not.

That is why the fan under the bottom of the printer was added :)

If I can just buy precut pieces, that's even better! Thanks :)
