    I have a robo3d pla only version with firmware robo 3d r1 v5.
The software is mattercontrol robo4d version 1.1.2
everything seems to function, until i start printing.
the pre-heated bed starts to immediatly cool down, the extruder stays still and the status is "currently printing"

the Terminal gives but one lines that indicates a fail, namely SD init fail, which shouldnt matter as it doesnt have SD, right?

then on repetier-host v1.00 RC1 it does the same, it responds to everything, it pre-heats perfectly.. all goes well. until i start printing, the extruder moves up, stands still and the cooldown begins.

in both cases no errors, no indication whatsoever.. what am i doing wrong?

    Any help would be appreciated

so it turns out it was a problem with the slicer, not the printer or the program. put it to slic3r and it works now

question You can't have the PLA only version as only the PLA/ABS systems had heated beds did you upgrade somehow?

My bad, the pre-heated extruder, not the pre-heated bed.

Yes, or rather, mattercontrol did it for me. i told it that i had the PLA version, it said firmware upgrade available. installed it, and it said R1 after.
I assume by your question that this is not supposed to be?

Depends on when you bought it. I have an R1 that is all configured for a heated bed, but simply shipped with an acrylic bed instead. Not sure if I'm 'special' for some reason. Mike might be able to clarify.

Did using repetier solve the entire issue you were having or do you still have more issues going on?

It does sound like a software issue. @Retrodiggern can you post one of your gcode files where that happens?

I tried some different settings in matter control and it will print if I use cura engine but not if I use slic3r and it does not work in repetier or cura either which I think is strange since cura engine works i matter control.
