Does anyone know what would cause filament to ooze down the side of the extruder? It drips on prints when it gets enough build up.

My extruder temp is at 190 printing with PLA.

    Thanks.

It sounds like your PTFE tube on the inside might be cracked, causing buildup and eventual leaking out that crack.

Any way to confirm this or should I just contact robo support? I assume it would need a new extruder or are the parts serviceable?

    Thanks again.

I've read on here that the tube is easily replaced and that Robo is happy to send out new ones. I also think that the extruder can be disassembled, but I haven't done it myself so I can't say for sure.

Short term contact robo, replace the liner.
Long term, replace the hotend. There are a number of good choices out there now.

So I'm guessing I had some filament shavings in there somewhere. I pulled the screws and blew out the extruder area and the oozing has gone away. I'll keep an eye on it but it the future will probably just replace the extruder. Thanks for all the input guys!
