I finally used the filament that was supplied with my printer and switched to a new spool. It is a ColorFab product and the material is high quality as far as I can determine. My issue is that the filament was not wound on the spool to freely dispense. The winding crosses under many of the layers and binds. I've had to unwind the spool and rewind enough filament to complete a print. Is this a common issue with filament? If this is a common problem, what measures are others taking to avoid binding. Did I just get a bad spool or is this common with ColorFab? Thanks

I wouldn't call that common. Sometimes it happens and you just need to correct the winding issue by running he filament back under the bind point. But if it keeps happening just contact colorfabb and they should be able to sort you out
