I have a piece of filament stuck just under the gear in the print head. Are there any idiot proof instructions on how to take the printhead apart and get the filament out?

I've tried adding more in hopes of pushing it through, but I can't get it to happen. I can see the filament but can't grab it with anything.

    Thoughts?

If you can not grab it with needlenose pliers then you need to mechanically remove it (drop it on the bed) and then heat it up and pull it out. That will give you an extra half an inch of filament to grab.

Awesome. Forgot about taking the head out. That took care of it. Thanks.

I have a piece of bailing wire I use when that happens. I heat up the nozzle then use the wire to push the filament through. I add new filament and off the races I go from there.

Note: the wire is too thick to go into the nozzle so don't try.
