First ABS Print- Magic smoke - bed heater failure! now What!

    Hello, So I finally had a chance to print with some ABS Filament and using the stock settings half way through my print i got smoke and total lose of heat to the bed! Really disappointed! So now what am I suppose to do?

    HELP! PLZ...

    After Dis-assembly to see what was going on attached is a picture of what i found!

    Are the beds on these suppose to fail like this!!!

    Never seen a failure like that before. How old's your printer? From the looks of the rails it's older than april. They might be generous enough to ship you a replacement kapton heater. You might also check your ramps 1.4 board for any sign of damage

    Yeah I know I must have gotten the last of the old model as i got mine on april 8th. Visually all looks ok on the ramps board. tho In retro wish i would have waited a bit and got the better version with all the fixes :( So I guess i should try and contact robo and see what they say.
