    Hello to all, my R1 should be here Monday this will be my first printer I am currently using CAD programs to program a laser that I used to cut steel with so I am somewhat familiar with G code and the use of CAD but new to 3d printing

    Additive versus subtractive. You will get used to it :)

    I spent many happy years in Iowa City, at the U. Now on the east coast, Additive and subractive come from logic functions. Additive is a simple OR overlap is a simple AND subtractive is an EXCLUSIVE OR (either positive the result is positive, both positive the result is negative.
