Solved Hexagon Extruder Problem

My Hexagon Extruder was clogged so I took it apart and was able to get rid of the clog but then it clogged again, right away. I'm thinking i did something to cause this. On the top of the extruder heat sink there is a brass insert you can unscrew. I had removed that to get at the clog. I pulled out what I thought was melted plastic but was this by any chance a teflon sleeve? is there supposed to be a sleeve in there?
