Hi from France!

Hi there!

Well, I'm David, from France and I'm happy to be part of this community!

I backed this project for few reasons:
1_ 3D printing seems to be really cool! I really know very few about this universe and I think it will be a huge thing in a few months/years.
2_I love gadgets. I use to buy to myself some things only because they are cool. And I'm a kind of compulsory buyer. A 3D printer is still a kind of (bit expensive) gadget to play with.
3_I guess it's a very good way to practice English. As a good French, I use to not be able to speak or understand English very well. You'll see a lot of mistakes in all my sentences, so don't hesitate in making some corrections. I just need to learn. And as 95% of the documentation about 3Dprinting is in English, I'll be forced to practice a little. More than all, as a 3D printer is not a 10$ gadget, I'll sure make some efforts to understand bunch of articles and tutorials to make it work.
4_Maybe I'll try to start some electronic work, for myself again. As if I try to make some support for my phone, for instance, it would be cool to try to add some electricity into it

As you saw, I'm a newbie and hope I'll learn a lot with each of you guys!

Welcome David! I think #3 may be the best reason I have heard someone has backed this project. Learn 3d printing AND English ha-ha very clever. Be sure to take a look around the forums are already starting to buzz with action.

Yeah I saw the "Gadget Storage " project! It seems really cool.
You all guys have much more experience than I have, and that's why you can afford you to start with such an interesting project
I think I'll wait to receive my printer, then I'll try to understand how it works. And when I get it, I'll start to think about bigger projects

 

I have no previous knowledge of 3d printing and very minimal of design. Just started looking around online at tutorials and reading what I can.

Hi guys . from France too . In Paris . No knowledge on 3D printing and so no blue tape . what that ? Sound like paper tape for me... ;-(

 

Salut,il te faut pour imprimer du PLA, un scotch bleu qui résiste à la chaleur sur le lit de l'imprimante pour accrocher.@+

 

hi Guys, can anyone estimate the taxe for france ? is it a way you think to write on some "gift " or "sample" to make taxe free. what do you think ?
