First time 3D printer here, taking the plunge into a new hobby. I am one of the last 200 to fund this project, should have bought in sooner. I work in automotive research but design products as a hobby/side business. Sold three so far over the years with very good retail sales numbers. Need this 3D printer for developing new prototype products I have drawn in Solidworks.

My other hobbies include Battlebots (i was on the tv show for 3 seasons, competed for 11 years, just recently sold all my stuff) and custom car building. The car I am building right now is a clone of the T-Rex three wheeler, should finish it sometime this year.

Bought the ABS fully built model, looking forward to a second extruder upgrade for second color or water soluble support material. I have some complex designs that a water soluble support that would be more preferred over PLA.

Well...cant wait to get started in this...I hope production ramps up quickly and they get ahead of schedule.

    Jerry

    Hi Jerry,
I'm a big fan of T-Rex... are you going with a Hayabusa? I have some Eibach coil springs that are virtually brand new (for a Miata) if you need to experiment with spring rates. I imagine you will be going with adjustable coil-overs, but just a thought. I have a friend who built his own 3-wheeler and couldn't seem to get the spring rates right for a very long time...
Where are you? I'm quite helpful if you aren't too far away and need some extra hands. Think of all the great linkage and connectors and special brackets you will be able to build with your RoBo! Exciting times.
