Solved Hot End issue

    All, should I worry that the rubber coating around the hot end is coming off?

    Only if it is hiding a leak underneath.

    It is just a silicone boot that holds the thermistor in place and insulates the block a little bit.. If it becomes an issue kapton tape is a good alternative.
