Unresolved How to eliminate small holes on surface?

    So I’ve noticed that whenever I have a round hole on the top surface one of my prints that around the edges there is always small holes.

    I’m wondering if anyone can help with settings to try and eliminate them. I’m using PLA, 3 outer shells and slicing with Simplify3d.

    Assuming this is not just happening for one filament type I would suggest you ping this question off of their support folks.
    It is likely there is a slice setting that will help this.

    My initial thought was more top/bottom layers, but if the part is small enough you may not want more. (I usually run 5-6)

    Yeah this happens with all my filament. I am using 6 top layers at .2 and even have to top of the hole filleted a little to try and cover it up.

    I understand it is probably from the fact that a straight line is hitting the edge of a round angle but wasn't sure if anyone had a resolve for this?

    I was thinking maybe reduce the nozzle diameter?

    It's like the outline overlap option may fix it . it look good on a couple of test prints now I'm doing the real deal to find out.
