Here's what information I have gathered, if you have acquired a pre-owned Robo3D printer, but are new to Robo3D and would like to identify it.

There are at the time of this posting, two versions of this printer.
    a) Beta: as available during the crowdfunding campaign or afterwards
    b) R1: which was available in July 2014.

If the printer was purchased before July 2014, it is likely a Beta version.

The printer is likely the R1 version if:
    a) it has a heated bed.
    b) it has blue LED lights inside the printer, and/or blue LED's beneath the printbed?
    c) there are 2 limit switches in the Z-axis.
    d) it has an all-metal hot-end.

    Things to note:

    a) you cannot identify a printer from the firmware version.
    b) the hot-end shipped with the Robo3D Beta was made of plastic and PTFE (teflon). To prevent it from melting, the firmware is set to a max temp of 235 degrees.
    c) check the E3D hot-end photos on google/bing, its has an obvious heatsink and attached fan. Prior owners may have upgraded to this type of hot-end.
