Hey everyone. My order of 2 sets of a four pack of Nema 17 Stepper Gaskets came in. Hopefully these will help with noise as well as some more accurate prints. I am aware that a combination of metal and rubber gaskets exist but they are extremely pricey. My question is for those who have done this mod. Will I need to recalibrate anything once I install the gaskets? If these gaskets are 3mm in diameter will it interfere with any clearance?

i do not see any reason do recalibrate since you just move the stepper backwards a bit.

I do plan on installing the gaskets on every stepper motor. Not sure if their positions are programmed into the software.

Not really. Endstops are how the software knows positions. Everything else is calculated from the endstops.

It's been some time since the last post, did you notice any difference?

They are not that pricey if you go the ebay route (http://www.ebay.com/itm/141781704152). I have some on order but they haven't arrived yet.

Not yet been waiting for the enclosure to finish curing. Will be taking off the casing for it to install it. Will install the gaskets once I start installing the enclosure. Should be fun!
