I tried using NijaFlex for the first time. When it stopped printing because the filament wasn't feeding, I called Robo3D and was told that I'd need a Bowden tube.

So,since I don't yet have a Bowden tube, I tried to remove the NijaFlex filament and it's tangled up inside the extruder.
In the attached photo, you can see that it somehow got wrapped around the feeder at the top of the extruder slightly below the thumb latch. I tried turning the gears manually without any movement in the filament.

How can I unwrap the NijaFlex filament from the extruder?

    Thanks,
    Joe

Run the extruder backwards (retract filament) manually and tug on it to help.

Read the NinjaFlex threads... before you go down that road again. :)

If for whatever reason that doesn't work you are going to need to partially disassemble the gregswade and cut the stuff off

We can walk you through that if you need

Yes, a walk though those steps would be great. My background is in software engineering, so I'm used to moving electrons, not atoms.

Thanks for the suggestions about checking the NinjaFlex threads.

Remove both of the spring loaded feed screws completely and the feed bail for the extruder will open completely. Cut the filament free from the hobbed bolt and pull it out. You can feed more filament back in before closing it up or close it up and feed as normal.

Thanks for the walkthrough. That worked. I no longer hate 3D printing like I did a few hours ago. ;^D
I was able to untangle the NinjaFlex filament from the bolt.
Wow... was that one knotted up mess (attached pic).
