y printer usually print very logically . Starting from one side and sweeping its way across the layer in one direction . Only coming back to hit a few corners and parts it skipped over . Until recently . Now as it slides its way across the layer it is skipping every 4th or 6th line then laying down 4-5 consecutive rows and then jumping back to the line that it skipped . Is there some reason that it would do this . I want it to print all continuously so there is a nice even layer . The way that it is skipping back to finish a missed lay of material is causeing an uneven surface with a raised line on half of the extrusion width . Anybody know why my gcode is skipping these "ghost" patches ?

Just has to do with path planning and search algorithms. I wouldn't worry about it.
