ok, i will try not to be to winded.

    i installed a DD extruder.

that was a chore, but my6 issue is a did a lvling test, printed beautifuly, but if i go and try to print anything else, the bed heats fine, but the extruder is another issue, it get to the desired temp but the it raises 3 deg then lowers 2 degrees, all the while saying extruder heating, i can not get a reg print to print, why will it print the lvling test but not a normal regular print, i have used a SD card and USB and neither works..
    thanks
    TIA

Not familiar with the electronics on that one, but it should be similar.

There is no version of Marlin higher 2.1.2.1 => https://marlinfw.org/meta/download/

That is probably a compatible mod as well. Find the actual firmware version and we can see about looking at the config.

    Yes, to what now?
    This:
"it raises 3 deg then lowers 2 degrees, all the while saying extruder heating"

Sounds like it is not seeing the extruder temperature correctly or the actual set temperature is higher and it is never getting there.

It is set to 215 temp. It’s will go to 217. Then it will go down to 212. Keeps fluctuating like that

Might be as simple as the parts cooling fan mis-aimed. It needs to NOT be blowing air on the hotend, but onto the printed part.
Try upgrading to a larger heater core -- I use 40W on all of my FDM machines.

That could be the issue my DD fan is angled down and towards the hotend I will see if removing the fan works. Thanks
