Paint recommendations for concrete pool patio

The previous owner used latex-based paint to paint the 1100 square foot concrete patio surrounding the in-ground chlorine pool. It's worn out and in in need of a makeover. Do you have any recommendations?
Although the concrete has a knockdown texture, I'm not sure if I need textured paint. I have small children, so I'm sure it wouldn't hurt. If it counts (UV protection? ), I'm in Florida.
The majority of my research suggests that paint for concrete pool is a good idea and that they should instead be sealed or stained. Obviously, that is not an option for me, therefore your assistance is greatly appreciated.
