    Hello all,

I recently went through a PLA print binge for a local craft fair. At some point, I noticed that every few seconds, I could hear the filament "skip", and for a brief amount of time the PLA would string across the print. The hobbed bolt appears clean, and I even purchased a replacement hobbed bolt, thinking it had worn down somehow. The filament "skips" with the new bolt as well. I tried different filaments, same issues. Any ideas?

    Do you run an oiler?

I just read up on that, is that a new thing that everyone's doing now? I've been off the forum for a while...

I actually run the filament through a paper towel to collect extra fuzz off the filament spool. Is there an easy way to put some oil somewhere to test the concept before building up an oiler?

    Not really new, no.

Just put some oil on your paper towel
