    No, on all of mine the fan is on with the A/C power :)
    Ping the seller and see if theirs is thermostatic

    edit: however it says that on the case :)

    Did a test print and the nozzle is digging into the print. I have learned that I have a r1 and it should have this in Configuration.h #define DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNIT {80,80,2267.72,723.38}. I don't see the line anywhere.
