Well we do have a 3d printer right? So would it be possible to print a removable bed like the geko tek? Maybe in a higher temp material (polycarbonate?) and then you just put it on top of your heated be and just print on top?
    Would it work?

    Short answer, Nope.
Longer answer, a decade from now, probably.

    Too many issues
    get it to be secure
the print bed you would be printing on would need to be larger
getting the heat to transfer through well enough to act as a heated bed
flatness(something like that currently would end up warping a bitand that warp would probably screw up future prints)
    but maybe someday
