Unresolved Printer immediately says that the print job is done.

I load up a valid .stl file onto mattercontrol, and I'm able to view the object and everything, but as soon as I hit print, the extruder goes home, touches down, and then immediately raises back up and it says 'done' in the software.. this is the first time I've tried to print something from it. please help!!

 

Try exporting the G-code from the preview window. Then running it from the queue.

I've never printed with MatterControl. I primarily use Cura. Definitely something with the start code.

 

Mine did the same thing from time to time I think what ends up happening is the model gets sliced wrong and saved then each time you try and print that model it wont work. Try switching slicers.
