Basically the nozzle heats up to temperature but the reading in simplify 3D and Matter Control both read (ROOM TEMP 24 degrees C) therefore will not start a print. The heat bed heats up fine and functions properly just not the nozzle. Everything else functions properly as well.

I just took the top off and noticed that a wire may be lose? Im not really sure what to make of it (added a pic)
(The small double wire with the clear tiped end twards the bottom im holding)

Sorry if this is already solved somewhere, i checked but could not find the solution in the forums so far.

How do you know what temperature the nozzle is at?
I can understand 'hot', but 235c (for example)?

well I just know that its hot enough to easily extrude PLA through the nozzle when I hit the feed button

and don't (really--don't) run the hotend without the thermistor.
While damage is unlikely it is possible...if nothing else the printer has no clue that the hotend is even 'hot' much less what temperature it is really at.

If you don't have the black boot, kapton tape will do the trick.

That black boot really is a horrible idea. 1 it hides leaks sometimes long enough to where people can't fix it and have to replace the hotend. 2 that being the only thing holding the thermistor in place is so dumb. Many people have broken the thermistor trying to remove the boot to clean it (myself included). I would tap the thermistor hole with a M3 tap then use a m3 x 4mm screw to sure the thermistor in place like the e3d v6 does.
