i just bought a new ROBO 3d r1+ printer and i am having some problems with it

i am printing on matterhack 1.7

    -PLA filament 1.75mm
    -0.33 infill
    -0.2mm ayer height
    -2 perimeters (shells?)
    -extuder temp: 200C
    -bed temp: 55C
-speed: 60mm/s (everything except non print move which is at 150mm/s)
    -0.4mm nozzle
    -2mm retraction at 30mm/s

    here are the results:
    1.jpg 3.jpg

the stringing is annoying, but not damning.

what's anoying me, is the under extrusion which appears to manifest itself intermitently. it even happens when filling layers, i will see a corner where no material extruded, but it's not constant.

i've calibrated my extruder step-motor ( i extruded 100mm in the software and mesure about 92mm really taken by the machine so i doubt the problem is there)

i am not equiped to mesure filament diameter...unfortuy

and i do not have an oiler nor have i seasoned my nozzle by fear of contaminating it for futur uses.

can i have a partialy clogged nozzle?

    any advice?

    Try a different slicer

Try slightly cooler extrusion if stringing is the issue. Not much but a little.

Yes, partial clog is possible. I would suggest with PLA you season it or add the oiler (there is an entire thread on this).
I am not sure what contamination you fear. I use a oiler for every filament type (even though it only helps with PLA) because I am lazy. Seasoning the nozzle contaminates nothing. An oiler properly done affects NOTHING in a negative way. You do NOT need much oil on the filament...

    Anything else.
If you want free ones :
    1) Repetier Host
    2) Cura 15x
    3) Cura 2.x

If you want the best: Simplify3D (not free)
