Solved R1 Plus not accepting update

I am having a issue updating my robo3d R1 Plus's firmware. I need to change the thermistor type and the extruder steps/mm but every time I go to update it it says done uploading which I assume that it means successfully there is no change which I verify by my LCD and its obvious that the temperature is incorrect. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance.

 

There are no errors in the bottom window of Arduino after the upload? If not, try sending M502 followed by M500. That flushes any stored settings in EEPROM and loads any new settings you defined in the firmware.

Brother I've been there...man did I learn that lesson the hard way. Glad that was all there was to fixing the issue.
