    Hello All,

I have a little question of curiosity about Octoprint on the Raspberry PI, mainly the B+ models. What kind of setting is everyone running as far as over clocking and gpu / cpu split ? Or even any tweaks you guys have done to improve performance in any way.

I'm still learning linux, along with 3d printing so interested in what everyone has done or tried. I currently have my pi overclock 900mhz and gave gpu as much ram as possible.

I have used the raspberry pi 3 without over clocking and I haven't had any problems. I just used the basic octoprint. Seems to work great.

My R1 just arrived today as well as my Rpi3.

Is Octoprint still going to be the best route for a remote print setup?

This is going to be my first foray into 3D printing of any kind

Try Guysoft's build of Octopi, it is a complete image of Raspbian and OctoPrint already configured to run. Just burn it on a µSD and boot from it.
