Printer will home and heat up, but becomes unresponsive once the print is supposed to start.

Repetier thinks the print is printing extremely fast, minutes for the print turn into seconds on Repetier.

I also can't manually control the printer in repetier

Most likely a USB communications issue.

    -try another port
    -try a better USB cable
-try a USB hub in between the computer and printer (a powered hub)

This is an old and cheap cable. Will try replacing it, thanks!

    Good news.
I hate USB communications issues because they are vague to describe and more so to troubleshoot.

Yea mine refuses to connect to any USB port on my PC. or its intermittent so annoying. Works on my macbook pro though. I installed the LCD controller anyway so doesn't matter much..although when im troubleshooting i do like to use the control screen on the PC.
