    Hey everyone,

got a robo 3D c2 that’s simply looping the screen

I’ve gone through the printer connections and everything looks correct

raspberry pi red light is on and green is blinking

I’ve created two other micro as cards with img files I found on the forum but no luck

    any thoughts?

    Looping?

Not sure I get what you mean... not booting maybe?
If that is true then either the raspberry pi SD card is corrupted or the LCD screen is bad, but need to get more details of your symptoms to have a go at helping.

Make sure the ribbon cable attached to the Pi is correctly attached and seated and that it is attached to the LCD on the other end.

Come of the C2 machines also needed HDMI to drive the LCD (The R2 Always needed an HDMI cable, but the early C2 did not -- the ribbon cable did it all).

    Thanks for the quick replay.

I think it's something to do with the Raspberry PI SD card as the LCD seems to be working if I connect it to my a different Rasberry PI I have...

I got two new SD cards and tried to load two img files I found on the forum but no success, all the printer does it boot quickly shows that Robo 3D image and goes dark (screen backlight is on) and the PI just blinks on the green LED and constant red LED.

The other board will have two LED lights lit and then another pair will blink a few times.

There are two ribbon cables from the PI to the LCD
1 flat cable with a large connection
1 "HDMI" output to the top of the screen with a flat connection

You have to have the correct image. The one for the R2 will not work...
If yours had the HDMI that is the clue :)

Download the correct image from my google drive: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B6DXaWMGZJHTeF9sSUxJaHhVZW8

you want the ZIP file named "C2-HDMI-RoboOS-2_0.zip"

Extract the image file from that and use Win32Diskimager* to write it to an SD card of at least 8gb (more is fine, but no larger than 32gb)

(if you did not have the HDMI you would use the one named: Robo_C2_GPIO_v2.zip)

*If you are on a Mac or Linux machine I do not have the software names for you to use... sorry

I'll give it another go, I used that version as well but didn't use the Win32DiskImager, will try a different MicroSD brand as well.

Ok some progress made, the raspberry pi isn’t working...

Took the one from my LulzBot mini, dropped the SD card and printer boots up nicely but :)

    touch screen isn’t working

Missing a driver for Raspbian then. If you connect it to WiFi and internet you can download and install the driver.

SSH (or use putty) to the pi using its IP address. then install the drivers that way.

Putty can be had here: https://www.putty.org/

The red LED on the Raspberry Pi is supposed to light up solidly. If it blinks, you might have a power problem. Try running the RPi from an external 2.5A 5V supply with the micro-usb cable end.
