Installed a pen onto my Robo 3D R1 to use it as a plotter. Was wondering how to turn off the temperature for the extruder and bed and turn off extrusion in MatterControl.

    Interesting use for the printer....

Anyway, unless you turn them on, then printer will have the bed and extruder heaters turned off. Just... leave them off. :p

If, for some reason they're on, you'd turn them off by going to Settings and Controls->Controls->Temperature.

The extruder won't extrude anything unless you tell it to.

If you were making Gcode for the printer to execute you'd do the following:

M104 S0; Turns off nozzle temperature
M140 S0; Turns off bed temperature.

Just occurred to me that the printer, if you generated a gcode file for it, would still attempt to extrude anyway. I think you might be able to get around that by setting some multiplier to zero. I'll know for certain in three and a half hours. I'll let you know for certain then.

Set the extruder and bed setpoint to 0. It will throw a bunch of cold extrusion errors if you set it to "print" a volume and not use a gcode generator for plotting but should still work

Replacing the pen with a CNC laser cutter would be really interesting.
    Everything is better with lasers.
