Unresolved Robo R1 Layer problems

    So I have 2 robos,one works great and the other one has been a nightmare. I keep getting gaps in my layers,its not every layer but its around the whole print and makes them look horrible. I have adjusted temperature,different filaments,messed with z offset,and layer height and its still having issues. I do have a little bit of z banding,so I was wondering could the z banding be causing the issues with the layers? I have no problem purchasing the new lead screw kit,I just wanted to know if that would help before spending the money on it. Thanks for the help!

    Could you post a picture, it would help to see the type of gaps.

    Have you calibrated the extruder steps? Small gaps are usually caused by not enough filament coming out.

    Definitely calibrate your extruder and there might be a partial clog in the nozzle:
