Has anybody tried to use a different slicer to run the R2? I have been looking at simplify 3D or cura 3.2 because they have a lot more options than cura 2.5 but I dont know if the set up is going to be more trouble than its worth

I paid for Simplify 3D years ago with my R1 series and use on most all my machines (R2 and C2 included)

was there anything special you had to do to set up for the R2 or were you able to just put in the basic info?

I believe Simplify 3D has a profile for the R2 and I made tuning changes from there.

no problem! Just remember Simplify 3D costs 150 for 2 licenses (thats the min and max lol) but cura is free. If you prefer to use cura you should be able to.

About the only thing I use Cura for is to watch my printer's camera. Just about all my slicing is done in Simplify3D, if only because it feels more logical to me. Not that it really means anything, but it's just a better fit for me.
