so I'm printing with a temp of 200 PLA, I just changed colors and am printing a white box (yea, exciting) but I am seeing some scorched burnt colors in some of the plastic. Anyone know what could be causing this? Dirty bits on the print head coming off maybe???

Possibly. I suggest buying some cleaning nylon and using that between color changes.
