For some reason, the printer head got pushed into the heat-bed, no stops were engaged and the side bolts started unscrewing themselves. These are the hexagon bolts that are embedded into the plastic on each side of the heat-bed.

    1. How come the end-stops didn't prevent this?
    2. How do I fix my printer?

I realize these are broad questions, so I'm hoping someone can point me to some form of document that can explain how the printer parts should be connected and such.

    Thanks,

    PKE

    Pictures?

I can't tell from that description which ones you mean.

The endstops will only signal home. There is nothing to stop you (manually) or a program (printing) from ignoring that home signal (sadly).

3D printing tech is still rather new.
