In searching the forum i was able to find several setting profiles for the r1 but was wondering if anyone had any for the plus....hopefully with auto leveling? If not, would there really be much of a difference in settings b between the R1 and the plus in simplify?

In simplify I would think not.
The differences between the R1 and R1+ are hardware/firmware and I would not expect Simplify to care much.

Other than initial Z offset and nozzle size differences there is nothing specific in S3D between my printers.

Hey Mark, Thanks for the info...forgive the next two question, as I am completely new to printing and will have my printer by the end of day...

Are those values something I need to add to/edit in the profile I have and do you by chance know the values....i thought the nozzle size was .4....the same as the R1?

Sorry again for the novice questiong...but hey....we all started somewhere right?

The supplied nozzle diameter is 0.4mm
The initial Z offset varies from printer to printer and you will need to experiment a little to figure it out. Start with -0.1 and work from there.

    Test cubes :)

More negative (-0.11 for example) is further from the bed less (-0.08) is closer.

I think you mean start with -1.0, because -0.1 is going to be scrubbing.

    Picky, picky :)

(but, yea start at -1 and work from there. One of mine is at -0.4 and the other -0.8)

I know in simplify there are several areas to set z-offset...which one do I mess with?

Just add it to the startup GCODE (scripts tab in the profile editor)
