Began looking for spares, such as Ramps 1.4, etc. and began at Amazon.

Quickly found lots of offerings, including kits with Arduino and LCD and sundry. Most, if not all, have very iffy customer experiences reported. That may or may not mean that much as many technical people cannot be bothered to report, unless really really pleased, or really really NOT pleased. But the fried board comments do give pause.

Any reliable sources known? Or simply order several of the cheapies and hope for the best?

For the electronics/electrical I have had good luck with most of them on Amazon IF I bought a bundle of parts (Arduino, RAMPS, drivers, etc.) It was only when I bought individual parts that things got sketchy. The bundle of 5 steppers I got worked fine too.

PartsBuilt has some of the Robo specific parts for the later R1+ series as well as the R2/C2 of course.
