It seems to me that some months ago I was seeing discussion about some of the Taulman products being inconsistent in their diameter throughout the spool. I have a roll of the T-Glase here which I bought quite a while back that I am trying to use for printing some LED lenses, and it's been a real challenge. The material will become inexplicably stuck at various points in the print.

Nozzle temp: 224, also tried 240.

Anyone have any info on this?

I have not had that issue, but measure it with a micrometer and see if it really is inconsistent. If it is Taulman will gladly replace it... heck they may replace it simply because you have had issues with it. They provide pretty decent support for their products.

The irony is that while I have heard of inconsistency with some of the brand name filaments the cheap-o crap I use for prototyping with has never given me a lick of trouble.

It's just weird, is all. Honestly I don't care to un-spool 30 meters of material and micrometer it. I might try oiling the crap out of it and see if that helps. All other material is feeding just fine, so that's a strong indication that it's something to do with the T-Glase.

Oh god no. I meant just check it as it feeds in when it is sticking :)

I'm going to try this at 250, oiled, and 10mm/s.

Sounds reasonable. I know the last time I used it I had to print slow and hot...

Yep, that's it. I got the first layer and a half down at 10mms, then sped it up to 20mms, and it immediately bunched up in the hot end.
