    Hi,

First off, this is my very first experience with a 3d printer.

I just received my Robo 3D R1 today, unpacked and followed the introduction video, or at least until the point where a press on the "home" button in MatterControl should make the extruder head move.

    Nothing happens, is that correct?

The printer is connected and is getting the bed and extruder temperature.

When i press "preheat" on both bed and extruder, the temperature ain't raising, even after 20 minutes, is that how it should be?

I have tried updateting MatterControl to newest version, and updated the Robo 3D printer firmware.

    Any help is appreciated :)

Welcome to the forum. I am also new to 3d printing.

The temperature should increase instantly, taking a minute or two to reach full temp.

    Thank you :)

Okay, well then my printer ain't functioning well, the temperature does not increase, and the mechanics wont move.

From the terminal it looks like the printer is recieving the commands and is responding, but no movement and no heat..

    Heres some output:

    <-ok
    <-X:0.00 Y:0.00 Z:0.00 E:0.00 Count X: 0.00 Y:0.00 Z:0.00

a connection must have come loose at the main board. I don't know anything about the board connections yet. There are some pictures on the board of how/where to wire fans up that might serve as a good reference. Have you tried live chatting w/ Robo support?

You should be able to move print head around through software, X+/-, Y+/-, Z+/-, and Extrude/Retract.

    Hi,

So i need to disassemble the printer to see if the wiring is connected as its supposed to?

I haven't tried the support chat yet, but i think that it will be the next step.

    Thank you :)

It is possible a connection came loose in transit while it was shipping to you.
Definitely get with the support chat and they can walk you through checking it out.

It turned out to be a plug not fully plugged as you suspected.

    Thanks :)
