Unanswered UK Shipping and Import taxes

Hi,
The reason i was drawn to this printer was because of the amazing print quality, the large print bed and the reasonable price of the printer. When I went to buy the printer it wanted an extra 150 dollars plus import taxes. This made the price much less attractive. For this reason I have held off from buying.
I was wandering whether you could buy in the UK with less delivery and no import taxes?

I purchased the z-axis upgrade kit and got charged 30 euros import tax even though they had 'replacement parts' written in big letters on the outside of the box!
