In the attached image you see that it is not printing evenly in the y-axis. Anyone have any suggestions for fixing this?

Looks like a symptom of a loose Y pulley set screw

It looks like the drive shaft is to low. Do I have to drop the stepper motor to get to the set screws?

Looks like the joke is on me. There are no set screws in my toothed gear for the Y-axis. Should there be?

I would say so.. but I can't double check due to constant operation of my machine. But 2 things.. .I distinctly picture a set screw on it... and I can't imagine any other way of securing it.

It would definitely explain your crazy prints.

Are you sure? Check it all the way around. There's almost certainly one. Maybe take a picture

Yep its their. My eyesight is crap even with a flashlight. I used a small wire and it would not poke into the shaft. I am glad you told me to double check it.

Might require loosening the Y axis belt and then dropping the motor out so you can access the set screw. Unless it's possible to access it otherwise.

As I could pull the toothed gear out and hold it in my hand. Fixing it turned out to be very easy. I just lined every thing back up and the set screws cleared the base plate so I could get the wrench into the screw to tighten.
