Got to admit though the 1mm pitch, and no backlash is tempting, lol

I've seen a 454 in a Vega, does that count?

Is back lash even an issue? Since these are going vertical, with no real force pushing against them, backlash should not really factor is

    Autolevel would induce backlash.

did not even think of that. IS there a setting in the firmware to account for backlash? Also, where did you purchase your lead screws / nuts? I have a R1 with auto level, so i may have to fab up some mounts to get all that to fit on a stock acme nut

You shouldn't really use software to try and account for hardware backlash.

I posted a link to the lead screw I bought on the last page.
