Solved Weird problem with extruder and bed temp

Just putting it out there in case anyone ever runs in to this problem..

recently the refurbished printer I got had the problem where I would turn the extruder on and both the extruder and bed would heat up.. and it would eventually shut off due to bed over temp..

robo was great and sent out a new ramps board and had a lot of suggestions to try.. unfortunately nothing they suggested worked..

on a hunch, I swapped out an extra power supply I had and that ended up fixing it.. something must have fused internally and would operate both the bed and extruder when either was enabled..
