Solved What is the optimal distance between the bed and nozzle?

    The first time I tried with my new hotend the nozzle was pushing along the bed causing extrusion problems and jamming. What distance is good?

    The rule of thumb is to start off with the nozzle 1 sheet of paper thickness away from the bed and work from there to dial it in (the sheet of paper is too high, but close).

    Use the initial Z offset number to adjust this. Start with -1.0 and work up (more negative) and down (less negative) until your layer looks like the one referenced above.
