    Hello,

I just attempted to print something with PLA. And while the R1 attempted to align the bed, the unit moved the on the X-axis all the way to the negative side (Left) and kept trying to run into the wall.

I cancelled the print and tried moving the X axis in the Matter Control software. It moves right (+) but not left very well. Here is a video:

Had the printer less than a week.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you,

    Rian

Sounds like a spun bearing or a loose belt.

Use some machine oil (3in1 etc) or some sweing machine oil on the smooth rods/into the bearing and slide it back and forth.

Though check your belt is tight enough and not skipping on the pulley

    Hi Mike,

I had just applied some white lithium grease to the rods, I had thought the same thing.

And the pulleys are tight enough to "strum".

If it's not one thing it's another it seems with this machine.

yup. they operate on an interesting principle.. wiki them.
if you were to try to raise your Z axis and ran into the top or held the rod.. you'd get a similar noise.. or if your y axis ran into the wall behind your printer.

Well that puts a hold on printing.

Thanks for the input, I am going to submit a ticket with Robo3d.

    The printer itself? Yes.

I think it comes from a company CTI or something.

Oh.. i got mine via prime. when I didn't know how to operate it (likely) i just returned it. That way I had 2 in the house at the same time. Sounds dishonest in retrospect, but I didn't know then what I know now. and maybe the board was having trouble communicating

Do they just send you another and charge you for it until you return the other?

with prime anyway.. yea.. they send you a replacement and expect the other in 30 days or less or they charge you.

That said.. my second one came in non working condition. Used the first one to trace wires and find the problem. Saved me some hassle. Well... balanced hassle.
