It's very strange. For some reason, the x axis has a slight growl/hum to it when it gets on the right side of the print, but when it moves back to the left side it's quiet again. Keep in mind that it's pretty slight. Also, when it is doing really small and fast movements (like small and quick infill), the extruder seems to rattle quite a bit. Not sure if this is normal.

Any ideas or is it not a big deal? I tried recording it but the mic didn't pick the sound up the right way.

Might be worth lubricating your X axis linear bearings to see if that quiets things up

Okay, I'll try that. The odd part is that it seems to be getting louder. I have a video, but it's still uploading on photobucket

Are you sure? It doesn't seem to do that when I move it by hand and it seems to come from the motor.

I'd start with lubricating. If that doesn't work then you could try removing the GT2 timing belt and doing a dry run with no load on the stepper motor to see if it still makes the noise.

I think I figured it out. After taking it apart, it seems that it's the motor vibrating on the mount. Apparently when the extruder gets closer, it has enough weight to move the motor down to hit the mount. The only thing is that I would think everyone would have this issue. Not just me, but that explains why when I push it down, it seems to help.

I have this exact same issue, but inverted. I have this grinding noise on the left side.
Did you get rid of the noise?
