It started with a squeak. I applied some machine oil (3-in-1) to the y-axis bars, and that did trick - for a while. Then it started to make a popping noise - always in the same spot on the y axis. I observed y axis motion with the bed off and and it seems that the noise is coming from the bearings. I then noticed a deep scratch on the right bar. It covers more than half the bar. Not sure what to make of this. Bad bearings?

Yeah if a bearing is spun/out of position it could result in that. Might be worth submitting a replacement part request

I had that happen on my X axis, they don't move very well when that happens.
