I just bought my printer and I started printing and the layers would shift on the y axis. I have been printing the calibration cube and the way it has been shifting has been the same every time. 20160902_101232.jpg

Sudden Axis shift is always something loose.
The belt for that axis or the set-screw that holds the cog to the stepper motor shaft.

The only other possible reason is that something actually blocked the bed or the extrduer chassis from moving and that is almost never the case. It can happen on the Y if a cable is loose under the bed and gets caught in the mechanical bits while the bed is moving so check the cable stays under there as well.

I do not think that the problem is mechanical, because when I print these cubes they look the exact same. I think that it may be a problem with something on the computer.
