Hello, we bought a R1 plus in March. It has been working so well since last month. Last week we tried to print out a prototype model, but every time we tried, it failed.
At the beginning it worked okay, but after about 20mins, gaps started to show up between layers, and finally the material came out from the hotend not continuous.
I attached some pics. Please help!!

    Hey guys,

I tried seasoning the hotend, but still very bad printing quality, or say even worse.
    Any other possibilities??

It could be under extrusion or the hotend is too hot. How hot is the hotend when you are printing?

All else fails adjust your Z offset up a touch, that first layer looks like it is a bit too close. That will cause the first layer to under extrude and give you poor foundation for the rest

I don't use MatterControl and generally am averse to depending on the slicer to do things like this that are machine specific.

With machines fronted by OctoPrint ones I always put this stuff in the OctoPrint Startup GCode.

If what you described works then go with that.

    I tried 1.2 of extrusion multipliers. I would say it's worse. :(

If the Z offset is too small, trying to extrude more will fail more :)
There has to be a large enough gap for the extruder to push the plastic out.

It could simply be a clogged or damaged nozzle, but trying to eliminate the more simple things first
