Come back to me when there's a conductive filament

ya, this is an artists tool. I actually had a few people arguing with me (in a friendly way of course) that both this and the carbon fiber are probably conductive. Who cares what the multimeter says, right?

To a certain extent they probably are a bit conductive (i.e. they are really a resistor). However, effectively I imagine they are too high a resistance to matter. The bronzefill was pretty high resistance until polished... then it went down. Still qualified as a decently big resistor, but it did go down (I threw a megger across it for giggles, it was high either way just a bit less high after polish). We are not making electronics with this yet.

and do you think it is conductive enough to plate?

Hmmm, I doubt it. It was a bit under 10 mOhm after polishing (over 50 before) so not really super conductive. Might be worth playing around with if I get a chance.

I suspect the polishing is helping to create a skin effect that is lowering the resistance for the MegOhmMeter....

With a high enough voltage anything is conductive :)

i suspect most people would prefer to also have a print left behind after applying the voltage, but who knows...

The conductive ABS may be useful in plating the parts, where a high but finite conductive coating, usually applied as conductive paint, provides enough current flow to do partial plating, which then gets thicker and thicker until it's low impedance. I can see, for example, printing conductive ABS on an insulated surface such as ordinary ABS then sending the whole thing off to the plater or plating it ourselves. Also there is Tinnit brand copper tinned, chemical, no heating or electricity required, just chemically plates copper. Could print in copper fill and use Tinnit for the traces. lots of possibilities here...

I did some Copperfill printing, first object was a ring:

Stuff prints very easy. Temp 199 celsius, layer height 0.1mm, heated bed not necessary

bummer that the forum now shrinks down images. Do you have higher res pics posted anywhere?
Have you run bronzefill? What do you think about differences between bronze and copper fills?

Hi, I didn't run Bronzefill because I only have Copperfill for now. So the difference I can't tell but here are some high resolutions available( click on the pictures). Note that this is my first attempt with Copperfill :), maybe I can get even better results in the future.

I am ordering some CopperFill next week when I get paid. I have already received a small Tinnit solution kit and will attempt to tin plate the copperFill. If that works, we have conductivity Houston...
