I removed the print head to clean it off due to a few failed prints wrapping themselves around the print head. I cleaned off the print head tip and placed everything back correctly and now I have 'Heater_ID: 0' error and I am unable to find out why.

Has anyone seen this before and been able to find a solution?

Bad thermistor or wiring to it or connection.

So is my best bet ordering a new one? I have reconnected it 3 times now and made sure it was correct. nothing seems out of place or disconnected in any way.

I would test it with a multimeter but if you dont have one yes, replacement would work

See if Robo will send you just a thermistor.
If not you have to replace the entire hotend (not much harder, but a waste)

So naturally after I purchase a new hot end I take it apart again and find that the wire that measures temp has a heat sleeve over it, and inside there are actually two wires soldered together. Turns out the solder came apart... I re-attached it then my IR sensor wire fell out (No idea how that one even happened). Finally got that re-attached and now it is all working fine again... Ill just keep the new hot end I get and work on setting up dual color prints!

I went through the same thing, soldered them together and it's working again.
