I just recently received my robo 3D printer. I was able to print one small object without any problems. Now, I'm trying to print 2 objects, and they both stopped midway. The extruded and bed temperature didn't change. The timer still works. What should I do?

@Darleen Are you running tethered to your computer via USB cable? Did your computer go into sleep mode or hibernate by chance?

I didn't get a chance to check it. I was still new at it
I noticed it always stops after 50 minutes of printing

Powered hub may help or the lcd mod to get the computer out of the print equation. Is the ramps fan running ? (Bottom right corner should be on at all times)

Yes, look under the computer at the fan on the bottom. Good point. That must be on if the printer is on.

Try a powered hub. Also check the baud connection.

I got tired of the com issues and went with the xxl lcd controller. Plug and play :)

@Printed Solid is who I got mine from

I just re read and saw you were using the computer while printing.

Whenever I did this it would freeze my robo. My think pad didn't have the balls to do what I was doing and the robo comm. might consider trying the print again with all other programs closed. Just to see what happens

I'd really advise the LCD, but if you're tethered anyways, you can run off the SD card in the printer. This will eliminate any connectivity issues or interrupts causing problems.
The example I give during my classes: Have you ever run a paper printer and had it pause a little bit during a page? Not really an issue, but when the same thing happens with a 3D Printer? You're going to have a defect in your print, at best. Failed print at worst.

I also had problems with usb but robo has a sd card slot, then you tell the program to run from sd and disconnect your usb. Only downside is if print goes haywire you cant plug usb back in to stop it you have to shut it off.
